Nothing much to comment on this week but one point I failed to make last week for lack of time.

One point Dong et al. totally failed to comment on are the very strange isotopic values of their animal samples from the Bronze Age. Both pigs and dogs are more depleted in heavy nitrogen than the bovines are while the sheep produce highly enriched values more typical of carnivores. Until these oddities are explained the interpretation of their human data should be seen as preliminary at best.
