I don’t quite know what to make of Roldan. Wasn’t the quest for sex and gender equality all about everybody being able to be and do anything regardless of sex and being treated equally? It seems that those requesting an extra designation fall back into the old very strict and very limited role designations and if they themselves do not fully conform to the male or female stereotypes, then obviously they can’t be either male or female but must be something special. I had assumed, we’ve gone far beyond that by now. Also “they/them”
is a plural pronoun. With all their claims for special treatment and extra privileges it strongly reminds me of the pluralis maiestatis.

Several dating articles this week. I already had Strien’s reply in the list of 2020-12-13, but somehow I missed the two forerunners to it. And then of course there’s Weninger & Edinborough with its uncorrected typo in the permutations on page 544.
