Shrestha et al.’s purpose was to evaluate the effectiveness of bivalent Covid vaccine against infection with the Omicron variant. The result is a moderate protection of about 30 %, more in line with flue-shots than real vaccines against e.g. small pox and tetanus. But they got an unexpected secondary result. The risk of infection actually rises with every dose of traditional monovalent vaccine. (The medium and long term effect of the bivalent variant is unknown so far.) The study did not look into the protection against a severe course or death and gives no reason at all to doubt the efficacy against those.

This is one more proof, not that any more was needed, that the exclusion, persecution and ostracizing of unvaccinated people in public is and has always been totally unjustified.

Bishop et al. cite and use the result by Wallace 2013. As I’ve already shown in my lists of 2017-01-15 and 2019-01-20 its predictive value is meaningless. Thankfully the authors recognize as much themselves and clearly say so.
