Artaxo is a comment on Butt et al. from the list of 2023-11-22. Following them Amazon deforestation will have a large impact on regional warming and humidity and on global precipitation patterns, which is a huge problem. All Artaxo talks about is the also present reduction in carbon capture. According to everyone, including the IPCC, the climate influence from that is tiny. What climate models do claim is a huge positive feedback, mostly through water vapour. If true, that same feedback will be set off by any other equally small origin, all of which are ignored by concentrating on carbon emissions alone,disregarding everything else.
